Leonia Public Schools provides transportation services exclusively for eligible students, including students in out of district placements and those who reside in Edgewater. Bus routes are assigned based on a student’s home address and school placement.
If you have questions about eligibility, routes, or schedules, please contact the Transportation Office.
Bus Stops & Expectations
- Bus stops are determined by the location and needs of eligible students, with safety as a top priority.
- Students must use their assigned bus stop only.
- Drivers are not required to stop if no students are present, so all students should be at their stop at least 10 minutes before the scheduled pick-up time.
- Students must get on and off the bus only at their assigned stop. Bus drivers cannot honor verbal or written requests from parents or students to use a different stop.
- Stop changes are made for emergencies only and must be requested in advance through the school and Transportation Coordinator.
Please Note: Scheduled times are approximate. Arrival may vary slightly due to traffic or weather, especially during the first few weeks of school. We appreciate your patience as students, families, and drivers adjust to their new routines.

Bus Stop Change Requests
- All requests must be submitted to the Transportation Coordinator.
- No changes will be made between early August and late September.
- After that period, approved changes may take up to 10 school days to process. Students must continue using their original stop until notified of the change.
