For students going through this process, it is essential that you are on the same page with your parents, high school coaches, potential college coaches, and your counselor. By the end of your junior year, students should register for the eligibility center and request an initial transcript to be sent to the NCAA.
During senior year, make sure to add NCAA to the college list on Naviance and request a transcript to be sent. SAT/ACT scores must be sent directly from the student to the eligibility center through College Board and/or the ACT website.
Division 3 athletes do not need to go through the eligibility process, but students who are unsure which division they will play in should go ahead and complete the NCAA registration, just to be safe.
Student-athletes that are interested in college athletics at the Division 1 or 2 levels must make sure to register with the NCAA eligibility center at: NCAA Eligibility Center.
