Credit Recovery

 

SMILE Credit recovery

Credit recovery is for high school students who have failed a course required for graduation and would like to remain on track for graduation and/or to avoid repeating a full-year course the next school year.

High School Credit Recovery Courses at SMILE

Algebra I

Algebra II

Geometry

Students in grades 9 through 12 are eligible for credit recovery for Algebra 1, Geometry, or Algebra 2. 
Program duration: All Credit Recovery courses are 20 school days.
School hours: 8:00 am-11:00 am
Grade requirement: Students must earn a minimum passing grade of 65 to receive recovery credit.
Busing service: Busing is provided by the Edgewater School District and is available for Edgewater residents only.  

 

 

Attendance & Tardy Policy

Attendance: Students will be allowed one absence or a total of 30 min of tardiness for the duration of the program.  Parents are responsible for notifying the school via email.  Students who leave the school day early will be counted as an absence regardless of when they leave.  The student must be in attendance the whole day to count as present.
