Serving students from Pre-K through Grade 12, our district includes the vibrant and supportive communities of Leonia and Edgewater, working together to provide a nurturing and challenging academic experience for each of our learners.
Our Schools
Our schools, Anna C. Scott Elementary School, Leonia Middle School, and Leonia High School, foster a culture of curiosity, creativity, and character. District Goals 2024-2025

By June 2025, the Board of Education will approve the 2025-2030 District Strategic Plan.This plan will incorporate comprehensive input from the school community, gathered through a structured, year-long process involving multiple feedback opportunities and collaboration with NJSBA facilitators. The district will use these milestones as a proposed schedule:
- By November 2024, the district will complete the community feedback component.
- By January 2025, faculty and staff will provide input into the goals and objectives.
- By March 2025, a draft of the goals and objectives will be shared with the community.
- By June 2025, the Board of Education will approve the 2025-2030 District Strategic Plan.

By June 2025, the district will achieve and maintain a balanced budget, building and sustaining adequate fund balances with reserves aligned to the district's long-term financial plan. These reserves will comply with New Jersey financial guidelines, with regular reviews to ensure ongoing fiscal responsibility and budgetary alignment.

By June 2025, the district will evaluate the current Gifted and Talented offerings and gain a better understanding of the current thinking around enrichment programs. This will include determining the breadth and scope of a comprehensive program, completing a needs assessment, identifying the path forward, and educating the community about the components of a quality district enrichment program.
