Your User ID and Login
Log in securely using school SSO integration.
Your Mac uses Google SSO (Single Sign-On) for a unified login experience. Simply enter your school credentials to begin and unlock your device environment.
Offline Access: If your Mac is offline and not connected to a network, click the person icon at the login screen to access your local account. The format of the local account username is first.last.
Managed Apple ID
Connect your device to the secure Apple ecosystem.
Your Managed Apple ID uses your school email and password to safely authenticate and integrate with official Apple education resources.

The Dock and Desktop
Manage your active files and favorite applications.
The Desktop is your central workspace. The Dock is positioned at the bottom of the screen, providing quick one-click shortcuts to open the apps you use most.
Tips for Organizing the Dock

Pin Apps to the DockDrag any application icon directly into the Dock, or right-click (two-finger click) a running app icon in the Dock and select Options > Keep in Dock.

Adjust Dock LocationChange the position, size, and hide behavior of the Dock by navigating to System Settings > Desktop & Dock.
Finder and Quick Look
Locate, organize, and preview files on your Mac.
The Finder is the smiling face icon in the Dock. Use it to browse folders, view your iCloud Drive documents, and organize downloads.
🔥 Quick Look: Highlight any document or image file in the Finder and press the Spacebar on your keyboard. Quick Look opens a super-fast visual preview without launching any software. Press the Spacebar again to close the preview.
Windows and Mission Control
Control multiple application windows simultaneously.
Use the color-coded buttons in the top-left corner of any window to manage its display:

● Red Close ButtonCloses the active window. The application itself continues running in the background.

● Yellow Minimize ButtonMinimizes the window into the right corner of the Dock. Click the Dock icon to restore it.

● Green Full-Screen / Tile ButtonEnters native full-screen mode. Hover over this button to snap the window side-by-side with another open app.
Mission Control
To see all your open windows, desktop spaces, and full-screen apps in a single clean overview, open Mission Control by pressing the Mission Control key in the top row of your keyboard (or swipe up with three/four fingers on the trackpad).
Spotlight and Siri
Find resources instantly and accomplish tasks with voice controls.
Spotlight Search
Press Command + Spacebar anywhere on your Mac to open the Spotlight search bar. You can search for files, launch applications, perform math calculations, and look up definitions.
Siri Assistant
Click the Siri icon in the top right menu bar to activate Siri. Ask Siri to set reminders, search for files, check schedules, or change system settings using your voice.
Keyboard Shortcuts and Trackpad Tips

Open Spotlight search bar.

Trackpad Gestures and Settings
You can customize how your trackpad responds to your touch. Open System Settings > Trackpad to customize gestures:
- Navigation: Scroll with two fingers up or down; pinch to zoom in/out on images or pages.
- Adjusting Scroll Direction: If you prefer traditional scrolling, navigate to System Settings > Trackpad > Scroll & Zoom and toggle off Natural scrolling.
Printing with Papercut
Send documents to Leonia school-wide printers using Mobility Print.
Follow these instructions to connect and print from your device:

Installing Apps via Mosyle
Download district-approved software on demand.
Access school-authorized tools and utility apps through the Mosyle Manager Self-Service portal in your Dock:
- Open the **Mosyle Manager** app from your Dock.
- Select the **Self-Service** view on the main menu.
- Browse the catalog of available district apps and click **Install** on the desired application.
Screen Mirroring
Present your screen on SmartBoards or classroom displays.
To project your Mac screen to an Apple TV, SmartBoard, or other external displays:
Instructions: Open the Control Center icon (slider sliders logo) in the top-right menu bar, click Screen Mirroring, and select your classroom display target from the list.

Force Quit AppsIf an application freezes, press Command + Option + Esc, select the app, and click Force Quit.

Wi-Fi TroublesIf connectivity drops, toggle Wi-Fi off and back on in the menu bar. Often, a quick system restart is the fastest way to resolve persistent problems.

Leverage the seamless connections between your Apple devices to move effortlessly through your tasks. Before starting, ensure that **Wi-Fi**, **Bluetooth**, and **Handoff** are enabled on all devices (on your Mac, navigate to System Settings > General > AirDrop & Handoff).

Window Tiling (macOS Sequoia)Hover your mouse pointer over the green zoom button in the top-left corner of any window. Select a split or tiled layout from the menu to automatically snap windows side-by-side.
Quick Actions in Finder
Perform rapid modifications on files without launching full applications.
Right-click any document or picture inside the Finder window and select Quick Actions from the context menu to perform rapid edits:
- Rotate Image: Turn an image clockwise or counter-clockwise instantly.
- Create PDF: Combine multiple photos or files into a single multi-page PDF document.
- Remove Background: Automatically extract a foreground subject from an image, saving it as a clean PNG file.
