Promote a dynamic and inspirational learning environment that accommodates diverse skills and interests,
both inside and outside the classroom, and prepares students for a rapidly evolving world.

 

 

 

Objective & Plans

Objectives:

  1. Implement robust in-school programs for students of varying interests, including LHS electives, academies, course sequence, dual enrollment, and AP offerings, LMS cycle courses and content in courses, and ACS school-based programs and assemblies.
  2. Strengthen communication to promote available programs by exploring how to better use Parent Square to showcase information.

 

Steps to Complete:

2025-2026:

  • Review current program offerings and identify expansion opportunities in STEM, arts, and career education. (Obj. 1)
  • ​​​​​​​Establish Parent Square point of contacts throughout the district, including one admin per building and various staff members.  (Obj. 2)
  • Establish expectations for posting and showcasing information, including newsletters and website posts. (Obj. 2)

2026-2027:

  • Develop a plan to improve based on review and analysis of programs listed. (Obj. 1)
  • Develop stipend for building-based personnel to post and showcase information. (Obj. 2)

2027-2028:

  • Begin implementation process. (Obj. 1)
  • Train identified staff members as experts in the various communication features of Parent Square. (Obj. 2)

2028 and beyond:

  • Analyze impact of new offerings and continue to improve. (Obj. 1, 2)​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Objectives:

  1. Implement robust out of school programs for students of varying interests, including LHS exchange programs and field trips, LMS field trips, clubs, and activities, and ACS after school programs.
  2. Strengthen partnerships with external organizations to expand enrichment opportunities.

 

Steps to Complete:

  • Review and analyze extracurricular offerings at LHS, examined with student interest. (Obj. 1)
  • Generate a list of partnership opportunities that align with district goals. (Obj. 2)

2026-2027:

  • Develop plan for expanding offerings, including timeline and budgetary needs. (Obj. 1)
  • Identify partnerships to pursue. (Obj. 2)

2027-2028:

  • Begin implementation process. (Obj. 1)
  • Begin implementation process. (Obj. 2)

2028 and beyond:

  • Analyze impact of new offerings and report to the board. (Obj. 1)

  2. Maintain and expand participation in existing initiatives, if applicable- Safe Routes to Schools, Sustainable Jersey

  • Identify state and national recognition programs aligned with district goals. (Obj. 1 & 2)
  • Review process for applying to recognition programs and identify feasible programs. (Obj. 1 & 2)

2026-2027:

  • Establish a committee and apply for recognition programs. (Obj. 1 & 2)

2027-2028:

  • Gain recognition and advertise awards. (Obj. 1 & 2)
  • ​​​​​​​Review procedures for the next submission process. (Obj. 2)

2028-2029:

  • Establish a committee to complete the re-application process. (Obj. 2)
