Promote a dynamic and inspirational learning environment that accommodates diverse skills and interests,
both inside and outside the classroom, and prepares students for a rapidly evolving world.

 

 

 

Objective & Plans

Objectives:

  1. ​​​​​​​Implement robust in-school programs for students of varying interests, including LHS electives, academies, course sequence, dual enrollment, and AP offerings, LMS cycle courses and content in courses, and ACS school-based programs and assemblies.
  2. Strengthen communication to promote available programs by exploring how to better use Parent Square to showcase information.​​​​​​​

 

Steps to Complete:

  • Review current program offerings and identify expansion opportunities in STEM, arts, and career education.
  • Develop a plan to improve based on review and analysis of programs listed.
  • Begin implementation process.
  • Analyze impact of new offerings.
  • ​​​​​​​Establish Parent Square point of contacts throughout the district, including one admin per building and various staff members.
  • Train identified staff members as experts in the various communication features of Parent Square.
  • Establish expectations for posting and showcasing information, including newsletters and website posts.
  • Develop stipend for building-based personnel to post and showcase information.

  2. Strengthen partnerships with external organizations to expand enrichment opportunities.

  • Develop plan for expanding offerings, including timeline and budgetary needs.
  • Begin implementation process.
  • Analyze impact of new offerings and report to the board.​​​​​​​

  2. Maintain and expand participation in existing initiatives, if applicable- Safe Routes to Schools, Sustainable Jersey​​​​​​​

  • Identify state and national recognition programs aligned with district goals.
  • Review process for applying to recognition programs and identify feasible programs.
  • Establish a committee and apply for recognition programs.
  • Gain recognition and advertise awards.
  • ​​​​​​​Review procedures for the next submission process.
